Description

For sale is my cracking little 16 bore Charles Hellis
BLNE.
The records indicate that it was made in 1931 for `Thesiger`. It is understood, but not yet proved, to be Sir William Patrick Thesiger (1910-2003)the intrepid explorer and author.
The gun was reproofed in 1975 and appears to have had very little use since then.
The bores are good, action tight, blacking good and the stock has some good figuring as hopefully seen in the photos.
The rib is engraved `Charles Hellis & Son, 119 Edgeware Road, Hyde Park, London W`.
LOP is 14 1/4 inches.
Weight 5lbs 14oz.
I am open to sensible offers, would prefer face to face but can be RFD`d at buyers expense.
