William Wellington Greener are one of our most iconic English makers credited for introducing choking to the shotgun barrel and therefore being able to control the pattern of shot. They were also responsible for patenting the crossbolt third bite producing the strongest gun of the era. The most noticeable of their design features is the side safety in a more convenient position than most.
This gun has all those features as well as strongly figured walnut and a great balance. The 28 ¾ barrels are choked ¼ and ½ and have been reproofed. The fore end chequering is worn but it’s the best looking 100 year old I’ve seen this year.
