Description
AYA YEOMAN
The entry level boxlock ,in later years known as the Yeoman, was one of the guns that the reputation of AYA was established on. In an era that other firms were cutting corners in the production standards of their cheaper guns to fulfil orders to a price point, AYA wouldnât budge on their build quality and although lacking engraving and figured walnut, are renowned for reliability and durability.
This example is a later model from 1980, 26â barrels with game ½ and full chokes under a concave rib with a 14.5 lop. All pretty standard although this gun is rare in the fact it has a pistol grip stock and a beaver-tail fore end , so could well suit someone who wants to try a side by side but has more of the feel of an o/u. It has partial case hardening and good bores but could do with a bit of care to the woodwork.
I have however about twenty examples of the same model with different barrels, stocks and chokes to ensure a perfect fit or make a composed pair to suit individual shooting requirements.
