Description
Charles Osbourne were a reputed gun maker starting business in Birmingham in 1838 and expanding to Glasgow, Edinburgh and London by late Victorian era when this pretty hammer gun was made. It is relatively unadorned with little engraving to the drop edged action. The stock is 14.5â with a pleasing Prince of Wales grip. There are a few dicks to the wood which could easily be refinished. The gun is very tight on the face and goes to the shoulder with good balance making it feel lighter than its 6 ½ lbs. The barrels have very slight pitting making it better for occasional use than putting 100 rounds through at the range. This is obviously reflected in the price.
If you want a piece of our gun making heritage, prefer using a traditional gun or your name is Osborne, this could be for you. A pretty gun at £195.00
