Description
This Russian Purdey is in as new condition, bought as a spare gun but never used. 28" barrels with clean, mint bores and a flat, raised rib. 70mm chambers proofed to 900 bar. Chokes are (approximately) 3/4 and full.
The stock is a little short at 14 1/8" (typical of Baikal guns, easily remedied with a slip-on pad) and has a pistol grip and semi-beavertail fore end. The chequering is proud and sharp and the wood (beech?) actually has some pleasant grain.
The action is tight (top lever is still locating to the right of the top strap) and has a blacked finish with minimal engraving, ejectors and automatic safety.
An extremely sturdy gun, mint and ready to go. Priced low as I need the space - £100 ONO F2F only.
