Description
William Sumners 8 gauge shotgun, English made (in Liverpool) in the late 1800s, my reading suggests the gun was made in 1887. It is a rotary under leaver mechanism.
When buying a gun of this age and calibre you should pay close attention to the barrel, and this one is in very good condition. The Damascus pattern is stunning, its free from dents bulges scratching etc, and it is around 35inches in length.
Ive owned the gun for a couple of years and its had a couple of outings on the Pinks in Scotland during that time, she fires 2 1/2oz shot comfortably.
Ive got a host of loading equipment which will be included in the sale such as shot, powder, cases, wads, re-sizer and RTO tool. These are worth some money on their own! I may even have some cartridges loaded too which I will gift.
£2000 (no offers) for this piece of history. Its been a pleasure to own her! You wont find another in this condition at this price.
